Servicing, Repairs and Resprays

Huish Horseboxes is here to look after all your horsebox & horse trailer needs. From standard routine maintenance to complete engine changes. We use the latest industry standard TEXA computerised workstation to perform complex diagnostics to ensure safety, reliability and best performance.

Safety is our No.1 priority for all occupants, whether they have two legs or four.

Huish’s service safety checks also include a thorough inspection focussed on the well-being of your horses, an area which is often overlooked by many!  Whenever we undertake mechanical repairs, as a matter of course we check the underside of the horsebox for floor and ramp strength, ensuring the vehicle is completely safe for you and your horses to travel in.

We can give advice to customers on the best service schedule for them considering vehicle type and mileage. We offer a variety of service options including six-monthly checks, and full, or basic services. Our pre-MOT and plating service includes test booking and vehicle check, plus taking your vehicle to & from the testing station and dealing with any subsequent repairs as instructed by you.

We send out reminders to customers to avoid checks/services/MOTs being missed and maintain a full record of all service history.

All types of repairs are undertaken in our workshops from minor body work to largescale rebuilding work.
For larger repairs we can give a good indication of cost by viewing pictures sent by email, and a fixed price on seeing the job. We can advise on different repair options and the best way to proceed.

For small quick repairs we hold a large stock of parts such as roof vents, door locks, etc. which can be fitted by us or provided as DIY parts.

Our purpose-built spray booth can accommodate any size vehicle and we use both oil and water-based paint.

A 12 month warranty is given on all repairs (excluding temporary fixes).

Other services we offer include the fitting of new equipment or accessories such as seat belts, stereos, reversing sensors, CCTV systems, etc, and carrying out alterations, like making changes to your stalling or partitions. We offer a design service for vinyl signs and graphics, and a wide choice of colour and finish is available. A Huish re-spray is an ideal way to refresh the look of your vehicle or trailer.
