Custom Built Horseboxes and Horsebox Conversions
All our horseboxes are built to order enabling each box to be tailor made to suit your needs and allowing the owner the opportunity to include personal ideas and tastes.
With over 30 years building experience many different designs and layouts have been tried and tested which means that all our boxes give maximised comfort and space for both horse and owner.
Each build starts with an options list to help you decide what facilities you require. From this a design can be made and the size of vehicle required established. Likewise if you require a certain size of vehicle we can then advise what type of build is possible.
Each vehicle is stamped with its unladen weight to help avoid overloading and serial number to ease ordering of replacement parts including a database for paint and fabric codes.

We manufacture our own cupboard units and constantly update the designs of our builds to make the most of new materials available, to enable us to minimise unladen weight and maximise strength and also to ensure our mouldings suit new shape cabs and the look fits in with modern style.

All livings are fitted with our very own mouldings giving a perfect fit whether it be a small day living or big full living with shower and toilet. There is great choice of living finish to suit all budgets and tastes without compromising on quality and durability.
There is a wide choice of colour, finish, stripe and graphics for the outside. Every stripe is individually designed and your own input can go in to it. Each design is drawn onto a picture of your lorry prior to spraying so you can see the finished effect before going ahead.
Conversions of existing commercial containers into horseboxes are a cheaper and effective alternative to building from scratch. Options are available in much the same way as custom builds and the work can be broken down into smaller parts allowing the cost to be spread over a period of time and use of the vehicle in between stages.

Although Huish specialise in the building of horseboxes, other specialised builds on a cab chassis or trailer are also undertaken.
